A lot of my time spent online is obsessively searching the Internet Movie Database, looking for movies, actors and directors that I need to be aware of. I was floored the other day when I stumbled upon this page.
On the Road! I can’t believe it. I have to admit, I only got around to reading the novel last summer, and didn’t really even love it like I guess I’m supposed to. Nonetheless, I’m shocked that it’s becoming a movie, and even more shocked that this isn’t exactly old news. I figured this was one of the classics that was never going to be made into a film; apparently I was wrong.
Another adaptation coming up will be The Bell Jar. I read ALMOST all of this book, and now clearly need to read it again/finish it. Another surprising thing with this one is that it’s already been made. NEED TO SEE THIS! But the new version, according to IMDB, is coming out sometime this year and is staring Julia Stiles, who for some reason, seems totally perfect for this role.
